after years of hiding, i stepped out into the sunshine. mercy, it took courage. but coming to the end of myself forced my hand.

and that exposure, that nakedness bred all sorts of nearness– both to Jesus, to my babies, and to my people.

there’s a place way down deep in us that longs to be known, to be invited, to be welcomed. i wanna be a like that. one who reaches toward, who wraps her arms around, and who holds fast through the storm.

there’s hope for the hiding. i can testify to it. and I sure will. right here in this very spot.
